Taking photos of ideas and themes as you see them and keeping them in a mood board is a great idea. Each time you come to refill your enclosure you will have a selection of different ideas to try in any number of combinations. The key is experimentation. As you collect your ideas they do not necessarily have to include degu safe materials, build your collection of images then afterwards you can find degu safe alternatives and substitutes. There are many nooks and crannies in nature the key is looking. Enclosures in zoos and wildlife parks also present a great opportunity to collect ideas.
