Im back! Well, sort of...
I must apologize for my recent absence and lack of updates (I think this is the longest I haven't made a post?)! I have been busy with other projects just recently that I hope to share with the world in the future. These mysterious other projects have kept me busy but alas I have not forgotten you! Slideshow after the break!

When deciding to purchase or adopt degus, there are many important points to consider - for example:
... and the list goes on. One of the key things to consider is where you are going to home your degus. After the break are pictures of where I keep my degus and things to consider when choosing a location. Today, I want to make a post only vaguely related to degus. I have been somewhat absent recently from the blog. Hopefully you will notice there is a new enclosure and it's specifications on the Real Estate Project, apart from this I have not managed a great deal lately.
I do not like to share anything unless I am proud of it. It has to pass my inner critique first. I have been struggling lately with collecting decent footage and photos of my degus, my enclosure designs, etc... Suffice to say I am in a slump. I am hoping to return to normality soon but I will not be trying to force it, as I believe this is part of the problem. I do however have something to talk about today... Waste!? No such thing! I wanted to talk about something that is very close to my heart today - the environment. This is the first installment in a planned series of posts. In this issue, I will focus on the left over timber from creating a DIY project. Click to read more after the break!
After trying to intergrate 2 pairs of boys over the course of a hole year.. SUCCESS!
Finally our 4 boys are living together happily; chasing, playing, chirping, boxing and jumping! This is a great step forward for us here; we can finally stop spending time on introductions and better focus our efforts on improving thier enclosure and gearing a more healthy and natural diet. The next major goal is to try and create a more stimulating and healthy environment for the lads. This just goes to show that even when you think you will never get them together, there is always a chance. We gave up many times - do not be scared to take a break from introductions, sometimes this can be healthy for you and the goos. |
